Helping Hands for Michelle Smith and family.

Hello, my name is Cortney. I am reaching out on behalf of my cousin Michelle Smith, her husband Chadd, and their daughter Payton. As many of you know Michelle tested positive for Covid in September of 2021. She fought an incredibly long hard battle, including roughly two weeks on a ventilator. She was away from Chadd and Payton with minimal visitation for about three months.

Due to complications with her liver following a surgery that took place in late April, she has been back in the hospital since May 1st. At this point she has had four surgeries and is again looking at time in a rehabilitation facility. Chadd is trying to go down as often as he can to visit, at one point spending an entire week in a hotel, not to mention the back and forth from Hershey Medical Center.

Fortunately, Michelle is surrounded by family who love and care about her as well as the numerous friends who have reached out during this time. Our thought is this would help Michelle and Chadd with the struggles that are often hidden but still insurmountable.

Michelle and Chadd have always been a family to help others in a time of need, now it is our turn to help them.
