Hello everyone,

My name is Helen . I'm reaching out for assistance to support my mother Mary through her cancer journey.

Mary Marras is facing a challenging situation as she has recently started a 9-week course of chemotherapy and radiation for colon cancer. Due to the intensity of her treatment, Mary requires respite care in a nursing home.

Unfortunately, The road ahead is long and costly. Mary is encountering financial difficulties in covering the cost of her respite care. The nursing home charges start at $100 per day, which is a significant expense. Mary’s pension is only sufficient to cover her rent and bills, leaving her unable to afford the additional cost of the nursing home stay.

While Mary has an aged care package, it does not cover the expenses for the nursing home.
