As some of you know who Joel Lukacik is, you have came to find out he is a great person with a great heart. Although he might have a bitter attitude here and there we all know we love Joel for who he is. Joel has had a very very tough life after highschool trying to make something of his life by working 18-20 hours a day when he can just to make ends meet due to being type 1 diabetic. His insulin and doctor visits have held him back from time to time. But yesterday evening Joel was driving down a hilly road and came over top of one to see a deer in the road! He had swerved to hopefully miss the deer and lost control. He went airborne down a ravine taking tree after tree out before coming to erupt hault on the cars side.  Joel is now suffering with a broken back in 3-5 places, 4 broken ribs, and a laceration on his head. I went to visit him in the ICU and he said "have you ever had someone take a sledgehammer to your spine or your kidneys, well that's what this feels like" 
Joel's car is totalled the rear tire was laying in the front seat. As friends let's help Joel get back on his feet as he is lucky to be alive!
