We are trying to raise funds for Charlie - Since his stroke he has been in a regular hospital - they want him moved to a specialty hospital so he can be worked with more. He is doing great - the doctors are amazed. He is using both his legs, communicates with us by pointing, shaking his head and winking :). He has also tried to write thing to us with pen & paper. He will being transferred to a specialty facility in Columbus to be closer to his son. The insurance will not pay for the ambulance ride there, so we are trying to raise funds for that and other unpaid medical expenses. Please keep Charlie in your thoughts.

I've been lucky to call Charlie my friend for 45 years. If you know him, you know he's got the biggest heart. Horses have always been his life—he became one of the top Saddlebred trainers in PA and Ohio—and even after all those years of training, he's still giving his time to help others. For me, that's looked like guiding me with my five-gaited horse and teaching my granddaughter Sophie to ride, which has meant the world to us.

But it's not just about the horses. What makes Charlie so special is the way he shows up for people. He never hesitates to help, no matter what you need, and he'd give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He's touched so many lives with his kindness, and he's loved by more people than I could ever count.

Now it's our turn to be there for him—just like he's always been there for everyone else.
