Brownie. I've known him about 45 years.
He is the father to two beautiful girls, a husband, a son, a brother to many, a true and treasured friend and just an all around good guy.
For me personally, when I hear his name so many funny and crazy times come to mind! The felonious tape K, the crazy Friday nights at the midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show, jamming with John on Bathurst Street, our nutty adventures with Ira at the Donut Galaxy and Donut Corner, the mini down the Crater hill, and the list goes on and on. Many of you will have the same similar fond memories as well as many more of your own.
I've known Bert for just about as long. We have also shared some pretty crazy and fun times over the years. The thing that stands out most to me about her is: she is one of the most kind, loving, giving, always lend a hand, what do you need, how can I help you kind of people that I have ever met. Not only is she a solid and true friend, she is also an angel.
Which leads me to the reason for this Go Fund Me.
I was extremely saddened to learn that Brownie has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and he's in for the fight of his life.
It f_cked me in the heart to hear this news. He's a life long friend to many. He's one of those people, if you don't talk to him for a year, when you do talk to him again it's like it's only been a moment. He always has your back and he always has a kind, funny or sarcastic word for you. Hearing this news, all I could think is what can we do for them, how can we help.
I am hoping with our love and support and our helping hands we can help ease at least one of their worries with this go fund me.
