Helping Hands for Aaron
Donation protected
On Sunday May 19th, 2019 My brother Aaron Crenshaw currently the sole provider a Loving Husband , and Father of 2 wonderful girls was admitted to the Lafayette General Hospital ER for severe pains in his abdomen. Aaron had been dealing with this pain for a little over a week and went to a Local urgent care facility. Aaron being new to the area and having just started a new job had not been employed long enough to have benefits.
Due to not having health benefits the facility he visited did not do a Ct Scan and only provided the service of an X-ray. It was suggested he may have a kidney stone. For a week Aaron continued to work while enduring the pain. Towards the middle of that week the pain increased, his abdomen swelled and he ceased to be able to use the restroom. What Aaron did not know was his Colon had ruptured. Aaron continued to press on & endure the pain the best he could going on the advisement the he had kidney stone. The week passed and Sunday came. By this time he was gravely sick, His life thinly hanging on. The Doctors quickly accessed his situation and how dire it was and scheduled him for emergency surgery. Due to the length of time that had passed between the rupture and surgery the infection in his abdomen was quite extreme a 12" vertical incision was made to remove his now inflamed appendix as well as take his bowels out wash them and put them back in. Part of the long recovery process will require drainage tubes to continue the process of removing fluid and infection and a colostomy bag for quite some time. The Surgeon that performed the surgery stated that this was the worst case he has ever seen and that Aaron is lucky to be alive. Aaron is still slowly progressing in the positive direction and is currently in the Lafayette General trauma Hospital.
First and foremost I am asking for your thoughts and Prayers & Secondly Financial donations, to help relieve some of the burden of Medical expenses and daily costs just to survive. I ask that you would come along side our family with youre
family, friends and any network of people who sincerely want to make a difference in helping some one out who truly needs a hand up in this dire time of need.
Sincerely,
Chad Crenshaw & Family
