Helping hand to my mom and the rescues during cancer battle
Spende geschützt
My mother’s life long dream has always involved animals. When she said she wanted to open a dog rescue when I was a child, I always thought, well we all have big dreams. She then finally opened her own rescue mainly helping dogs, cats and other homeless small animals. She then said she wanted to rescue horses. She also succeeded at that. And then as life has it, she was diagnosed with cancer less than a year after losing her mother to cancer. Her mother who believed in her the most and supported her dreams.
My mom was recently diagnosed with stage 1 grade 2 breast cancer, has already endured surgical intervention and continued to work to provide for the rescue which is almost totally ran on my mom and step moms working income. Now comes chemo and then comes radiation. The days are long and hot in Florida and she works in pest control. During this time I am asking for any donations for my mother to continue to keep the rescue afloat. She has several consistent donors but the expense of the rescue far exceeds what the income reflects right now.
Average horse feed bills $3,000-$4,000 monthly
Farrier bill $800-$1000 every 2 months
Equine dental $300+ monthly
Equine supplements/wormer $200+ monthly
Dogs - luckily have donations monthly but that requires driving to another town and gas usage
Dog heartworm and flea prevention monthly $400
DOG spay/neuter monthly $100
and the list goes on.
During these times of fragile health it is imperative my mom take a break from working and most certainly take a break from this heat. She just cannot do it at this time. Plus farm chores which are also all outdoors.
Any amount donated goes directly towards funding the rescue during difficult times and is appreciated beyond belief.
Please consider donating or sharing to get my mom some relief while battling cancer.
