Hello, my name is Orane Richards. I was born and raised in Jamaica, and although I now live in Canada, my heart will always be at home on that beautiful island.

Jamaica was hit by a devastating hurricane that tore through communities, destroying homes, crops, and livelihoods. Many families have lost everything — their roofs, their belongings, and in some cases, even their hope. Towns are flooded, power is out in large areas, and people are struggling to find clean water and food.

Watching from afar has been heartbreaking. I’ve been in touch with family and friends who are doing their best to stay strong, but the need for help is overwhelming. I started this GoFundMe to, raise funds for hurricane relief efforts — to get food, clean water, clothing, and building supplies to those most affected, especially in the rural and coastal communities that have been hit the hardest.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference. The funds raised will go directly toward:

* Providing emergency supplies like food, water, and hygiene kits

* Helping families rebuild damaged homes

* Offering assistance to children and seniors who’ve been displaced
