Helping Hand for Son's Healing Journey

Over Memorial Day Weekend, my son was a victim of gun violence while attending an event given by friends. He has spent 3 weeks in the hospital and has endured a total of 6 surgeries. He had extensive damage to his lower intestines, requiring 2 surgeries. The second of which was very invasive. Both of these surgeries required two days. The staples down his abdomen has him limited physically. His femurs were broken in both legs, and he will have to do physical and occupational therapy to be able to take care of himself. This means he has to use a wheelchair.

Thank God for the amazing outpouring of love and support from friends and family. I don't know where we would be without you.

The school year is over and I'm an 10-month employee, I normally have summer employment. But, I'm currently unable to work due to caring for my child. This is my only option until we can get any other services for him that will allow me to work. He relies on me for everything at this point.
