Rodrigo and his wife Carmen and they’re two children were robbed at gunpoint yesterday on their way to Zihuatanejo/Barra de Potosi for the Christmas Bird count.  Many of you know Rodrigo to be an incredibly gentle and knowledgeable owner of Travelian, a small travel agency that specializes in birding  and cultural trips based here in San Miguel de Allende.

Among the things that the car-jackers took were Rodrigo’s cameras, spotting scope and binoculars...not to mention stealing his car loaded with suitcases, kids toys, etc.  

Most of us can bounce back from this type of adversity, but for a young family starting out, this is a real blow.  Rodrigo doesn’t know of this crowd funding effort.  My goal is to help him recoup the equipment he needs to continue in business.
