Helping Hand for Gydesen Family

December 10th Justin (Werner Construction) and Dionna (Meridian Clinical Research) and their 4 children were displaced from their home due to a garage fire.

The couple has strong ties to the Hastings community. Justin’s parents are Julie and Kent Rothfuss, and Dionna was employed by Mary Lanning Health Care for several years before recently taking a job with Meridian Clinical Research.

The contents of their home suffered extreme smoke damage. All of the family’s furniture, food and many other items are a total loss. Any items they are able to salvage will have to be washed at the laundromat in a special (very expensive) detergent to remove the odor.

The family is currently living in Justin’s work camper, and will have to do so throughout the holidays as the insurance company works to fix the property. Unfortunately, the landlord’s insurance will not cover any of the family’s expenses.

The family needs a little help to replace everything that has been lost. Due to limited storage space, we are asking for gift cards (Menards, Sam’s Club or Walmart) or monetary donations. 

 

A few gently used furniture items they will need include:

A couch, a chair, 2 queen sized beds and 1 king size bed

More items will be added to this list as they continue to clean things up.
