Collin Esqueda is a 29 year old father of 4, as well as the soul provider for his family working as an independent truck driver for 2P Trucking. He tested positive for Covid on December 6th, and was diagnosed with Pneumonia shortly afterwards due to the virus. His illness began with cold like symptoms but he began to tumble downhill very quickly. On December 9th he was admitted to Hereford Regional Medical Center with an oxygen saturation level of 79%. He was put on a high flow mask to assist with his breathing but after 3 days in Hereford his right lung collapse 20%. They put in a chest tube, and made the decision that transferring him to Albuquerque, NM was the best choice for his survival. On Saturday the 12th of December, he was intubated and put on a flight to Albuquerque where he spent the next 7 days on a ventilator. In the days following his status fluctuated up and down and after a week He finally started making steps in the right direction where he was stable enough to remove the ventilator. He lost 44lbs of muscle, and his family has been impacted most with no source of income to provide for their bills, food, and necessities. His right leg still falls asleep and his right arm from his shoulder to his elbow continues to be very weak. By the grace of God He was able to come home on Christmas day with oxygen! He will still have a long road ahead of him to heal and get stronger until he can go back to work to provide for his family. His wife and 4 kids are all very thankful to have him home and continue to pray for him daily. This account is set up to help Collin and his wife with their bills that are due now, as well as future provisions needed thru Collins time of recovery.
