So the story of this couple in Brush Prairie, Washington is breaking our hearts guys. A fellow artist, Greg Ridge, has a husband, Scott Samuels, that is going through a challenging time in his life. Please can you read their story and see if you can find it in your heart to help these guys through this chapter in their lives. And if you are unable to donate please go check out the amazing artwork and make a purchase. Every little bit helps! http://www.gregridgeart.com/shop/

Lets all soap up!!!
Update on Scott... the big man has been recuperating from his chemo and radiation for a little over a month and doing well. He slept a lot for the first 2 or 3 weeks after. But in the last couple of weeks he’s rallied, and is back to doing what he always does, repair things and work on his yard. He’s replaced the truck alternator, repaired his pressure washer, and built a new trellis tower for the yard and his clematis and morning glories. I love seeing him feel energetic. He’s lost a lot of weight, I outweigh him for the first time in our lives together.
But, here’s our reality, Scott is only part way through. He will have surgery in about a month. He will have his esophagus removed and his stomach reshaped and moved up close to his throat. The docs say it will disable him from continuing manual labor, and that’s a huge part of his job constructing industrial saws. He will be put on disability (which we’re thankful for), but it means we’ve lost our primary income, since we found out NYE.
