Hey everybody! This is Daniel. (aka Mark Hammond’s son)
I’ve created this GoFundMe in an attempt to help out my family given the recent chain of events that has led to some financial needs.
In a nutshell my dad went to the ER back on April 1st and was diagnosed with pneumonia, sepsis, fluid on the lungs and heart, and congestive heart failure. Basically his heart is running at about 35%, which is never a good percentage to hear for anything. He was then admitted to help treat these issues and run more tests. This included a five star anniversary reservation of a heart cath. Afterwards, my father was sent home to rest and recover as well as continue on heart medication and a strict diet.
Just a few days later his blood pressure crashed and he was taken by ambulance to the trauma unit at Huntsville Hospital and was then readmitted. There they worked on readjusting his multiple medications and had more tests and consults. Following this he was sent home to rest and regain his strength before continuing heart treatment options.
As it stands, his future options look like disability and retirement. Currently, as a result of all these medical adventures and inability to return to work, the financial situation is extreme. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated!
