Helping Hale Snyder

This is Hale! He will be turning 7 in just a few weeks! One of the many favorite things Hale loves to do is help his mom and dad with their family owned concession trailers. On August 8th Hale had his normal routine of helping his dad sell food, get drinks, and just putting a smile on a customers face. At the end of the night they were cleaning up and they were putting hot leftovers in containers for the next day and just like any other freak accident, hot juice from the sausage container slipped and spilled all down his whole back, some on his leg, and some on his ear. They called 911 rushed him by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, it was the closest burn unit and it was 4 hours away. The Burn Team came in and had to put him under so they could clean out the burn and tell us how bad it was. 13% of Hale's body is burned (which is a lot for a child) and he has a second degree burn. The doctors are thinking he will be staying in the hospital 5-10 days or longer. Even after the hospital he will be on bed rest until his skin can heal. Anything helps!
