Helping Hailey Putnam Skipper in her AVM fight
Donation protected
Hailey Putnam Skipper has been a light in so many of our lives. From the time she was a little girl, she has done her best to take care of us. Her infectious smile, her love and prayers for us and her encouragement has touched us all. Now it’s our turn to take care of her.
Friday June 19th, after sewing the day's orders for her & Landon’s precious bow shop- Skipper Avenue, she began the final preparations for her daughter’s 5th birthday party to be held the next day. While hanging balloons she suddenly had a severe headache- the worst she had ever had in her life. The pain would not subside and she became very sick. She knew immediately she needed to get to the hospital.
Landon rushed Hailey to the ER, where she was taken by ambulance to Oshner Hospital in New Orleans where further testing revealed an Arteriovenous Malformation, or AVM, in her brain. The doctors told Hailey this was a rare congenital condition that caused her to have a hemorrhagic stroke. Testing also revealed Hailey had four additional strokes.
God was so good. He watched over our precious friend who is now home with her family! However, AVM’s cannot be left untreated. Her doctors have agreed that she needs another angiogram and surgery to remove the AVM , to ensure she is safe from future strokes.
Hailey’s medical bills are currently $48,000. The stress of the stroke has been substantial. She needs to rest, heal and prepare for her surgery. The financial side of this adds even more stress, which is the last thing she needs right now.
Can you help? All funds will go directly to Hailey. This is one way we can let her know how much we love her and appreciate the love she has shown us.
Please keep Hailey, Landon, their three girls and their parents in your prayers as they prepare for upcoming medical procedures.
Please share this with others who might be able or wish to give.
Thank you for your gift. Any amount is appreciated and will help!
