Hi, my name is Candace and I’m fundraising for my dad, Greg Purcell. It’s hard for us to ask for help but on behalf of my dad, I know he needs it- so I’m going for it & asking.

Yesterday morning, a devastating and life-altering tragedy struck the home of someone very dear to many of us. A tragic house fire completely destroyed Greg’s home — the home where his children grew up, where countless memories were made, and where so many family and friends gathered over the years. In a matter of moments, everything he ever owned was lost.

Along with the home itself came the loss of irreplaceable belongings filled with sentimental value, treasured memories that can never be replaced, and heartbreakingly, the loss of his beloved pet, who meant the world to him. He lost everything imaginable, right down to the small necessities.

If you know Greg, you know he is one of the most hardworking people you could ever meet. He is the kind of man who would quietly help someone else without hesitation, yet is reluctant to ask for help himself. As a small business owner, working hard has always been his livelihood, his routine, and his way of supporting himself and those around him. Even during the thick of this tragedy, one of Greg’s main concerns has been having what he needs to “keep on working”. During this unimaginable time, our hope is to help ease even a small part of the burden he is now facing. Greg is starting from absolutely ground zero with nothing, and as a senior who has worked his entire life for what he did have, this has been completely devastating.

We are asking for support to help Greg with immediate necessities, financial relief, and the ability to take the time he needs to process this loss and begin rebuilding his life one step at a time. No contribution is too small, and every act of kindness, donation, share, and prayer is deeply appreciated by the family.
