If you know her, you love her. If you’ve met her, you recognize the light of Jesus that radiates from the depths of her heart. If you’ve heard her sing, you’ve known the voice of an angel this side of heaven. This is a woman, a warrior, and a friend who was recently called into a battle for her very life when she was diagnosed with Leukemia (specifically Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, or ALL). In September, one visit to the doctor changed everything. Everything about life as she knew it, but nothing about the faith on which her entire life has been built.
For the last 3 months, she has bravely walked through this storm, never once missing the opportunity to point to Christ and to glorify Him with her unwavering faith and the reminder of His absolute, unchanging promises. Even now, waist deep in chemo treatments, doctor visits, and tests, she will gladly look you straight in the eye, with a smile on her radiant face, and tell you with utmost assurance, “our God is so good!”
She is our sister, our friend, our worship leader. At last, the opportunity has come for us to circle around her and her family, praying for truly extraordinary and supernatural provision in the meeting of their financial needs. As many of you know, Gina is currently awaiting a bone marrow transplant. There is great concern over the cost of this procedure. The current expectation is that hers will cost about $500,000, which will leave her with a co-pay of approximately $100,000. She will also require housing in Gainesville for up to 2-3 months following the procedure so that she can be closely monitored by her doctors. This is where we get to help!!! We are asking the body of Christ to come together as One on our sweet sister’s behalf. Our hope and prayer is that Gina would be relieved of any financial concern so that she can focus fully on her healing, recovery, restoration. As she does battle physically, we, the Church, want to also battle on her behalf…with all glory, honor, and praise being lifted to our Lord Most High. We know, trust, and rest in the promises of our Heavenly Father, leaving it all in His capable hands. Through Gina and her precious family, may His name be lifted up!
