Helping Gerry Rescue & Resettle Ukrainian Refugees

UPDATE 3/10/22: We began this fundraiser to help get enough money for Gerry to collect Anna and Marina and two other moms and children from embattled Zaporizhia, Ukraine. Now that the seven refugees are in Germany, there have been many more costs, including renting the van for another week, clothes (they only came with what they could carry), food, a place to stay, SIM card for their phones to communicate with loved ones still in the war zone, etc. Gerry confided that he's already spent $5000, and it will be a while before they are established enough to get permanent assistance. So, we have updated our goal to cover resettlement costs. Please give, or give again. Everyone would greatly appreciate it. Gerry also told me that "he's never met such grateful people," which is a tribute to them given all that they have endured. Thank you so much for your attention and participation.

Our friend Gerald is driving from his residence in Germany to rescue his girlfriend, her daughter, and two other mothers with children in Ukraine from the encroaching Russian army. He's rented a large van to bring them to safety. Van costs $650 for the week, plus gas, food, etc. Money raised beyond the $1000 will go towards helping these mothers and children with food, housing, and getting settled in Germany.
