I am talking about my brother in law, German Rodriguez and my sister, Maria Olivia Hernandez. German was finishing his shift at KFC when some individuals tried to rob the place on Wednesday march the 27th. German was shot in the left shoulder, the bullet entered diagonally scratching an important vein that provides oxygen to the left arm, scratching the left lung, and finally the bullet stopped on the spinal cord, destroying the nerves around it and leaving him paraplegic (paralytic). Workers Comp will take care of all the medical expenses. However personal expenses don’t stop (rent, utilities, etc). My sister Maria had left her current job too; the loss of her income will hurt also. Soon, they will be sent to another State for rehab. This has turned their world around in a way that nobody could even imagine.
