Hello everyone,

It is with a broken and aching heart that I return to GoFundMe during a very difficult time for one of my previous athletes and his family. Noah - an upcoming high school senior, his younger siblings, his mother Genesis, and the rest of his family lost an amazing husband, father, and friend last Friday.

I have included Genesis's flyer relating to Juan's passing in one of our photos, so please take a moment when you are able to read her love in her own words and share Juan's story.

In my own words -
Noah is an amazing athlete, and one of my favorites to have coached, of course, but who he is as a person, as a friend, and how he approaches each challenge with hard work and excitement is what makes people gravitate toward him. In meeting Noah's parents, it was obvious where he learned his values and how he carries himself. Noah now enters his senior year at Rancho Bernardo High in an impossible situation, and one that a teenager shouldn't have to deal with. He shouldn't have to worry about "adult" stuff and I hope he can heal knowing his dad is watching, supporting, and loving him from above. I hope that Noah is able to try and have some normalcy of senior year, although, we all know "normal" will never be the same again for Noah and his family. Life isn't fair, but life also comes with loved ones in all shapes and sizes who will do anything they can to support each other. I hope we can show Noah and Genesis and the rest of the family that they have an incredible community behind them that care, love, and support them, now and for as long as we can.

I am devastated that my recent move from San Diego to Minnesota means I cannot physically be there for this amazing family, but given my own connection to GFM, as well as my reach on social media, I wanted to be able to do something for them. So, I have set up this GoFundMe to benefit Genesis. Whatever this family needs, I want them to feel secure moving forward.

Any funds raised will go directly to Genesis to help her navigate this tragedy and assist with any and all upcoming expenses related to Juan's passing, and/or to assist with future expenses for herself and her children.

If you wish do donate directly outside of GFM, please contact myself or Genesis directly for those options.
