My name is Kelly I’m starting this Campaign for a Good friend of mine who is currently living in Kingston Jamaica. GARDO appreciates anything you can help with. This is his story.
Greetings, My name is Gardo, I was born in St. Ann'S Jamaica. However I currently live in the kingston area. I wanted to take some time to share my story with all of you. On September 29th 2008. My Family and I were in our home in St. Ann's when a Boulder came down on our home from a highway which was being worked on at the time of the incident. This tragic accident claimed the life of my mother. My sister was also injured and had to have 5 of her toes removed. I was also ingured very badly in the accident. The Doctors told my family at the hospital that if they were to fix my leg it would slowly poison my entire body and I would eventually Die. This is when my father told them to cut off my leg. Since that time I have been wearing a prosthetic leg. I have had this same leg since I was 13 which is when this accident happened. It is now causing me alot of pain. My stump is growing with me but the prosthetic does not grow. Which is causing alot of discomfot. I have tried to keep pushing not allowing my Disability to keep me down. I work 5 sometimes 6 days a week for a printing company. However the money I work for is barley enough to pay my rent, bills, Food and get back and forth to work. My Goal is to get A new leg soemthing that will help me get around and not be in so much pain. I dont plan to stop working any time soon. I work alot of my feet which involves alot of standing and walking around. I am going to be starting a Go-Fund me as well as setting up a Pay Pal. I would really appreaiate any donations to help me get A new leg and allow me to live the rest of my life Pain Free. I know times are tough right now for everyone. Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated. I will also be setting up A drop party on Tiktok for anyone who wants to help in that way.
