On 10/15/2021 my son attended a Halloween party with friends where he was shot twice after a large fight broke out. He was then rushed to USC in critical condition where he needed emergency surgery to save his life.

He has had a total of 5 surgeries in the past 2 weeks and will need additional surgeries to skin graph and close his leg wounds. In addition to that he is learning to walk again as he has lost muscle and strength from the injuries to his leg and side.

It breaks my heart to see my son going through this pain. He’s so full of life, outgoing , and independent. So being stuck to this bed is very hard on him. As he has good days and bad.

However he is so strong and determined to heal and go back to normal. So I know we will get through this.

I will be taking time off work as he needs me by his side to do every day normal things, physical therapy, counseling, and future outpatient surgeries. I did want to keep this private but due to all he will need I thought i could use any help anyone can give . Prayers are also just as important from you all and I do thank everyone who has been here and reached out with all their kind words.
