Helping Fund Harriet Dow's Chemotherapy Treatment

Donation protected
Harriet Dow is 42 and from Leeds. She was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 24. She underwent major treatment, getting married to her husband Robin during her chemotherapy. She then went on to travel, build a career and become a mother.

Unfortunately in 2014, Harriet was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, meaning it is incurable. At the same time she was also diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She underwent chemotherapy and a number of radical surgeries, and had been clear of disease until October 2018 when she had progression to her liver. This was obviously devastating news.

The chemotherapy drug, Palboxiclib, that Harriet is now on is not funded by the NHS and we are raising funds to help her pay for it. So far Harriet is coping well on this drug.

If the drug sadly stops working for Harriet, any funds raised will be put towards other treatment options, or donated to charity.

We are completing a number of events to help raise money to fund Harriet's treatment. Stephen is attempting to complete the Fellsman - a 61 mile Ultra marathon with over 11,000 feet of climbing in te Yorkshire Dales on 27th April.

Nick Madeley is organising a Fancy Dress Party in June with all the proceeds being donated to Harriet's treatment.

Please help us raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause.
