Helping friends of Susan Lehr

With great sadness, we would like to let everyone know that Susan Lehr has been recently admitted to a memory care facility in Broomfield. Susan’s condition has been developing over the last few years, but recently reached a point where greater care was needed. Thankfully, she was able to get into a very nice facility and has been doing very well with the transition. This was a very difficult decision for Mike, but has turned out to be a blessing with the added help in her care.

As you all know, Susan has always been a sweet and friendly person, so it’s no surprise she has had no problem making friends and the staff really adores her.

Even though she has shown signs of dementia for a while, the recent acceleration and need for skilled care so soon caught Mike and Susan by surprise. Most of us know someone who has been a caregiver and the challenges that can present. Seeking skilled care is not an inexpensive endeavor, so we decided to open a Go Fund Me site to help Mike and Susan. As Mike said when we approached him about setting up this fund, “you really don’t have to do this.” But I know many of us would like to help in some way. This is one way to ensure Susan continues to receive the care needed and Mike can focus on supporting that care.

This Go Fund Me site has been set up with Mike as the beneficiary of this fund, which will ensure he receives any contributions directly. Any support you can share will mean the world to them both.
