Help Frank Tedesco & his family in a time of need
Donation protected
Looking to our family and friends for your support, love, prayers, positive energy, best wishes and generosity.
This past July my brother Frank was diagnosed with Stage 3 mantle cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma. A rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.. Frank is and has always been a very private person and we have all tried to keep this as private as possible for him, But sometimes people need help and need to turn to family and friends for support. Frank had no symptoms and felt healthy as a horse... In June he had a 2nd hernia operation (luckily the 2nd one was delayed because of covid) and his amazing surgeon observed an enlarged lymph node while operating .. He biopsied it and unfortunately, it came back as non-Hodgkins lymphoma. A completely incidental find... We believe that God works in mysterious ways... If covid hadn't delayed surgery that lymph node likely wouldn't have been enlarged for the doctor to see, if he hadn't had a hernia to be repaired, where or how might Frank be today...
Not only did Frank's life change, but so did his wife Dina's, and their strong young boys Alexio and Anthony too. And of course all of ours.
His strength and courage have been admirable... Of course, some days are harder than others but with God's help, our faith, and love from his beautiful family and many friends, especially my mom who has always been our family's rock, he has gotten through the last 6 months of intense chemotherapy.
The next part of Frank's journey is a Stem Cell Transplant..
There are Five Phases of Autologous Stem Cell Transplant ( his own stem cells)
He has already started this process last week.
4 million stem cells were extracted successfully on Feb 6 and 7th (Yay!!!)
1) Conditioning. Conditioning involves treatment with high-dose chemotherapy
2) Stem Cell Infusion. ...
3) Low Blood Counts. ...
4) Discharge. ...
5) Recovery
These next few months will be challenging,
But with love and support from his amazing friends and family, Frank, and his beautiful wife and boys will have a wonderful future together...
The purpose of this go fund me is to take the financial burden off.
Frank is self-employed and hasn't been able to work since his treatment started this summer. His income has suffered and their savings have been depleted over these past months... They will need any help they can get to get through the next few months as he goes through the stem cell transplant to get him into remission... Recovery can take time and can delay his getting back to work. So if there is anything you can offer to help Frank and his family to ease the financial stress so he can focus on his health to get back on his feet and beat this. Frank, Dina, and their boys, and all of us appreciate it more than you know...
Please share, share, share this page as much as you can..
Thank you all ❤️ for reading this, sharing it, your donations and your prayers and love..
If now is not a good time for you to donate, please keep Frank and his family in your prayers.
All donations received will go to their living expenses.
Lastly, we cannot say enough about the incredible doctors, nurses and staff at Jurvinski Hospital and the nurses at CCAC nursing care... There hasn't been one day where Frank hasn't said something lovely about someone who has made his treatment or doctor's appointments a little brighter.. So thank you to everyone at Jurvinski and CCAC who has been there helping Frank along the way...
