Assalamu'alaikum everyone, I hope your Ramadan is full of abundant blessings.
This Ramadan, I am fundraising for Syrian Refugees in camps in Lebanon. There are people who are suffering from the horrific conflict that has been going on for the last 9 years leaving civilians homeless, without food and water and their lives have been changed forever.
After ten years of conflict, families across Syria are facing unprecedented levels of poverty and food insecurity. Severe humanitarian needs persist across the country and a record number of Syrians are now food insecure.
12.4 million Syrians are now food insecure. This is an increase of 4.5 million in the last year alone and the highest number ever recorded. Years of conflict, displacement, soaring food prices and a decline in the value of the Syrian Pound have affected the lives and nutritional status of some of the country’s most vulnerable people, including women and children. Today, more parents than ever before are struggling to feed their children. The price of basic food items is now 29 times higher than pre-crisis averages.
We are fortunate to break our fasts in Ramadan with food on the table, but this reality isn’t same for everyone. Our brothers and sisters who have fled conflict throughout the last 10 years of their lives, the situation had not improved. For them even a loaf of bread to break their fast with is deemed luxury and they go many days not being able to break their fast at all.
- £60 to provide a family of 5 with food for one month
- £50 for Medical support
- £30 for 2 winter blankets
This aid will only be possible with your donations. The funds will be going to Global Relief Trust (GRT).

It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no day on which the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says, ‘O Allah, give in compensation to the one who spends (in charity),’ and the other says, ‘O Allah, destroy the one who withholds.”
