Helping Families and Children in Guatemala

Hi, my name is Kelly Kole. I am an interior designer from Atlanta, GA, who fell in love with the people of Guatemala 10 years ago. I visited Guatemala on a spiritual journey in 2012, and it changed me. Being able to offer my time, energy, love, prayers, and financial resources was a gift that I dedicated myself to keep on giving. I have returned every year since (minus 2 years due to Covid).

This year, I will rally a team of approximately 10 friends and colleagues (including my hubbie Mike and business partner Joann!) to travel to Guatemla in June. With the help of my partners at Catalyst Resources International, we will bless a needy family with a home that we will construct with our own hands. We will also be visiting three orphanages and will be bringing clothes, shoes, medicines and school supplies to the kids. Sadly, many of the kids I visited last year will still be there but I'm thrilled to see them again and bring them gifts and big hugs. As a designer, I will also be armed with fabrics and artwork to bring bright colors and happy vibes to the walls!

Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to ship items to Guatemala so we will be loading up large duffle bags and checking them on our flight. I will use every dollar donated to shop for the things the families and kids need the most and deliver them personally.

As you can imagine, the pandemic had severe repercussions for an already poverty-stricken society. Help is needed more than ever. Thank you for your donation!
