Friends & Family let's pull together to help the O’Neal Family!
Mikki O’Neal has been gracious enough to share her son Ethan’s story with me, and I hope that through this GoFundMe, we can help ease the financial burden that childhood cancer has had on their family.
To give a short background, Ethan was diagnosed with cancer last year and underwent testing and surgery that the family hoped would eliminate the disease. Unfortunately, when cancer returned this year, it was concluded that he had been misdiagnosed and as a result received inappropriate treatment for his actual cancer type. Ethan has a rare bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. He should have been on chemo and radiation BEFORE surgery was considered. Because of this, Ethan has lost a year in the fight against cancer and has about a 98% chance of losing his leg. In a recent update from Mikki, doctors are very suspicious that cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. Ethan faces several unknowns currently. We do know that he will start a rigorous chemo and radiation treatment plan with probable leg amputation.
Friends and Family, the O’Neal’s are currently navigating between Miami and Tampa, Florida for treatments. As a parent, my heart is so heavy for the O’Neals with the stress, worry, and helplessness they must feel for their sweet son. Ethan should be enjoying college, football games, and fun with his friends, but instead spends his days in hospitals.
My thought was, how can we help this wonderful family? ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO MIKKI O’NEAL to offset the incredible mountain of expenses that have occurred over the past year and will be ongoing. Let’s pull together to help pay for GAS, HOTELS, PARKING, CAR MAINTENANCE, CO-PAYS, DEDUCATBLES, FOOD, MEDICINE, and MISSED WORK FOR THE PARENTS. The list could continue.
EVERY DONATION COUNTS. IF YOU ARE ABLE AND FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO CONTRIBUTE, PLEASE DO SO. IF YOU CANNOT CONTRIBUTE, PLEASE SHARE THIS STORY WITH YOUR FRIENDS TO HELP ETHAN CONQUER CANCER!
