Helping Erica With Her Medical Bills

On the evening of November 23rd (night before Thanksgiving), while returning home from a doppler call-in at the hospital, my coworker/friend Erica was struck by a vehicle at high speed while riding her bike home. She suffered multiple injuries such as a broken left hip, left femur, right compound fracture of the tibia/fibula (lower leg), and another fracture of the left radial (left forearm). This was on top of her already broken foot by her dog! She has undergone two surgeries and stayed in the hospital for about 11 days at about $10k/night not including surgeries and whatnot! Just the ambulance ride was $1400 and she didn't go far! She will likely have a long road of PT after healing for six weeks to get her back on her feet to weight bearing. Medical equipment to have at home to rent is luckily only around $20/day. She is home now, however, the medical expenses are continuing to climb as she needs in-home special care until then. I know it's after the holidays, but if you could please spare something, I'm sure she and her family would appreciate it!

UPDATE: The full bill came in at $446k! After insurance she is still responsible for about $10k. We are 1/3 of the way there kinda! Erica is healing well. She is able to bear weight on the right leg with the compound fracture thanks to some rods placed as well as good healing!
