Help Emmy's Fight for Life

Hey there, everyone! My name is Anne Alexander and I’m starting this fundraiser , Help Emmys Fight for Life , for my life-long and best friend Emmy Cravey-Nance.

In May of 2021 , after a work related injury , Emmy was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma in her lower left arm. This is an extremely rare and aggressive cancer for which (unfortunately) there is no cure . After undergoing surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy treatment she was given the devastating news that despite all their efforts her cancer had metastasized to both of her lungs. She then underwent partial lung removal , immunotherapy, and was told she was cancer free. Despite the good news, her relief only lasted about 2 months before her health started a very rapid decline as the cancer returned with even more aggressive invasiveness.

Emmy is 46 years old and has one 20 year old son, Jacob. Despite the unimaginable pain and adversity she faces every day and the multitude of agonizing side effects of her treatments, she has continually insisted on remaining positive and independent , living her remaining time on earth to the best of her ability and she still manages to smile every day, which is an inspiration to me. Through her strength and determination she has truly become my hero.

If you find it within your ability to contribute any amount of money to help for her cost of medical treatments you will also be her heros and I understand this is not an option for many of you but you can still make a huge impact. Update 3/12/2024: Emmy is back in the hospital after an accident ha complicated the bones which were both already badly broken . Due to the tumors it will never be likely to heal and is extremely painful. They also found her lungs were filling with fluid so hoping to take care of that and avoid an amputation if at all possible today. That being said she desperately needs your prayers today more than ever. Thanks for reading this update!
