Helping Ellie and family through this cancer journey
Donation protected
This is Ellie, an incredibly smart and kind 4 year old with enough sass to put any 90s pop star to shame. She keeps her mum on her toes and the smile on her dad's face. Shes the fierce dictator and protector of younger sister Ayla and claimed mum of her two week old sister Elkie. She's the spark that lights up our world.
On the 4th of May we took El into the hospital with abdo pain where a mass was discovered. After an MRI, PET scan and a biopsie we were discharged on the 9th to await El's results at home. Thankfully our little ray of light in the storm and El's lucky charm Elkie waited patiently for us to get home before coming into the world.
The 13th saw us receive a phone call no parent ever expects to hear, El has Rhabdomyosarcoma. Our world was shattered.
The 16th saw us re-enter Queensland children's Hospital for line surgery and the 18th she started her first round of chemo.
Ellie has had a hard start to this journey with a number of trips to hospital for illness due to the hit her immune system has taken.
Ellie has taken each and every day like an absolute champion. She has shown strength, grace and sass on days we couldn't even imagine.
Ellie is in for a rough road, we are expecting treatment and surgery for the next 18 months as long as everything goes to plan
This fundraiser will be to support her family through this tough time. Helping to cover travel costs for weekly visits to Queensland Children's Hospital, medical costs and equipment needed and assist with living costs when dad is unable to work.
It will take a village to get through this challenging time and we appreciate every donation no matter how small. Ellie is loved all the way to the moon and back and your generosity means the world to us during this time❤️
Thank you so much for all your support. It really means the world to us.

Update
After a high risk surgery Els tumour was removed along with a cuff of her bladder. Although we were hopeful about getting clear margins we were unsuccessful. Unfortunately El has to undergo 5 weeks of daily radiation which come with lifelong side effects. The next few months are going to incredibly tough but so is our El.
