On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Eliana suffered the loss of her sister Esperanza. A week later, on Wednesday, May 4, after her sister's death, Eliana ended up in the emergency room without a heartbeat, where they were able to resuscitate her. Due to the lack of oxygen to her brain, she is still in ICU, unable to speak, move or respond to our commands. She has not been able to come back to a state of consciousness. Every day that goes by without her waking up is concerning to her family and the doctors. Eliana is a mother to her 6-year-old son, Noah. She’s a Daughter, a sister, an Aunt and a great friend to many. Her sister meant everything to her, and Eliana made a promise to her sister to look after her three children. As Eliana's family prays for her to return to a state of consciousness, they ask for assistance to provide for her medical care and to assist with maintaining her livelihood for her and her son.
