They call it widowhood. IBoth men and women respond differently to the death of their spouse. In general, men tend to be more vulnerable to the widowhood effect. Men are affected more socially than women. Women tend to maintain social relationships and friendships outside of marriage, so when the wife dies first, men tend to lose out on these social relationships and support groups, and often tend to isolate themselves.

This morning I was awoken abruptly and from there is was all downhill. Ronald suffered a large stroke today and I guess third time was too much. It’s been a long day, but they took him off the ventilator around 5 and he’s been holding on since then. It is unrecoverable from since he is brain dead. He touched so many lives and I don’t believe this week is gonna be easy, but thanks for believing in all of us and anyone you ever came across.
