Helping Doug Gregory With His Battle With Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Natalie, and for those who might not know, I am Brenda’s daughter.
I would like to share with you the story of my stepdad, Doug Gregory, who is currently facing the toughest battle of his life. For those of you who don’t know, for over 3 years, Doug has been battling his second fight with cancer – this time colon cancer, which metastasized to his liver (Stage 4). Previously Doug fought lung cancer and was almost at 5 years cancer-free when this bomb hit and as you can imagine, this news turned our world upside down.
This has not been an easy journey, it seems like forever, and I have watched how this has majorly affected all of us physically, emotionally and financially.
Doug has the ability to light up any room with his great sense of humor, he offers kindness, love and laughter to everyone around him. Doug entered my life when I was around 7 years old, (I am now 23 years old). He didn’t just become a stepdad — he became a father figure, someone who guided, cared for and made me feel loved like I was his own. His presence, guidance and support has shaped me into who I am today, and that is why I want to do this for him.
As Doug has been dealing with extreme fatigue and trying to manage the pain and side effects, it has made it very difficult for him to work. Likewise, my mom is with him when the side effects are too hard to manage on his own. She also takes him to all his appointments, which has significantly cut down on the time she is able to go to work.
As the daughter of the family, I want to make sure that my stepdad and my mom can focus on fighting and healing, without the constant huge worry of how to make ends meet. I am therefore asking for your help in any way you can—whether through a donation or simply sharing this page with others who may be able to help.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards supporting Doug and my mom as they continue to fight this long journey. We know that times are tough for many, but if you can contribute, your generosity would mean the world to all of us.
Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
