It's with shock and sadness to learn about Doug's sudden passing.
Doug spent a lifetime chasing dreams. Whether it's been as an elite Hall of Fame athlete, a Vanier Cup Champion, a Grey Cup Champion, a Canadian Screen Award-nominated film producer, a record producer, or musician.
It's always been about family and connecting people for Doug Falconer. Doug's reach has been incredible and widespread.
Beginning with his friends & teammates from his days at La Salle high school in Kingston. Next, uOttawa and his friends & teammates from the 1975 national championship football team, the Ottawa Gee-Gees. The next stop was his teammates on the 1976 Grey Cup Championship Ottawa Rough Rider team. Doug finished his CFL career out west with the Calgary Stampeders.
During his storied business career, he continued to build friendships with associates throughout North America. As part of Falconer Music, Doug recently brought together a number of very talented artists and musicians to work with him on his music projects. This is when Doug was at his best, collaborating with people, with the goal of building something special.
And we can't forget about the 1881 Gee-Gee Football alumni brotherhood, a project driven by Doug's commitment and passion for his team and everyone who ever wore a Gee-Gee football jersey.
He loved them all, but nothing comes close to the love he had for his family, Louise and daughters Quinn & Taber.
Doug's sudden and unexpected passing has put a tremendous emotional and financial strain on his family.
The families costs regarding International travel & expenses from LA, plus all the arrangements with respect to funeral home costs and services are mounting, and there's more to come.
Now is the time for Doug's other "family" to step up and help.
If you are able to do so, please consider donating. The family is very grateful for all donations during this very difficult time.
In Doug's own words, "lots of love, peace & imagine to everyone"
