Helping Dottie

Could anyone find it in your heart to help financially? I was driving on East Memorial by Oakhill around 3 p.m. and the vehicle in front of me hit a dog that ran out of their 9 year old owners hand and into the road. This person sped away because they knew what they did was wrong. The other owner who is 10 (they were out on a walk) also witnessed this dog get hit and rolled several times under the car. I pulled over & ran over and before I could get the dog one of the young owners ran out and got him. He had blood all over his face because he was kissing the dog and crying in agony. We rushed to the vet and met with the adult owner but because of financial issues they couldn't treat her. They did make sure she was stabilized, she was in major shock when it first happened but seemed to perk up a bit. The vet said that the dog had no neurological problems from what she could tell and that because her gums were pink she was not bleeding internally. However, Dottie likely has one or two dislocated hips and can't walk, has a gash on her leg, and a gash inside her mouth. She needs to be looked at more thoroughly as there may be more problems. I want to help but there is so much I can do. I have PayPal or if you're local I can come pick up and will post a pic of the receipt. Even if it's $5-10 it helps. Please help me help those kids. They are traumatized and it would help them to know she's being taken care of. Thanks!
