On behalf of hospital staff, we are creating this GoFundMe for our coworker and our friend, Derek, who unexpectedly passed away last night.

Derek wasn’t just a coworker — he was a brother, a son, and a true friend. we had the privilege of working with him for almost a year, and in that time, he made a lasting impact on us and everyone around him. He had a way of lifting people up, making them laugh, and helping them get through tough days. He cared about others and always brought positivity wherever he went.

It’s hard to accept that he’s gone. He meant so much to so many people, and he will never be forgotten.
