Helping Dennis & Irene
On July 13, 2019, Dennis was riding his motorcycle in BC, lost control and went over a 34 foot cliff. We are praising God that he has survived!! He has some brain bleeding, a broken and dislocated jaw, broken clavicle, 8 broken ribs, and a broken neck at the T-2 vertebrae. He was airlifted to Kelowna General Hospital, where Irene flew out to be with him. Since the accident, the bleeding in his brain has stopped, he has full mobility as his spinal cord is not damaged, he has undergone surgery to repair his jaw, requiring multiple titanium plates, and he has a tracheotomy to assist breathing. He has multiple severe contusions and abrasions and is in a great deal of constant pain.
Please pray for them. Pray for Dennis's healing, for their patience and courage during the recovery period, for peace of mind, and for their children.
There are many costs when an emergency such as this arises. Flights for Irene (upwards of $500 each), as she may need to travel back and forth for a time until he is stable enough to be transported back to Calgary, food expenses for their time in Kelowna, loss of income, and so much more. It's hard to know exactly how much they need right now, but none of this is affordable on a limited income.
Every little bit helps, and we thank you for your heart in giving back to them.
