Helping David soar again!
Hey everyone, this is Scott Hollis. I'm calling on all DeRidder High Alumni (and anyone else with a heart to help) to come to the aid of one of our classmates who has hit a rough patch. Having suffered several unfortunate events and health set-backs including a stroke and a heart attack, one of our buddies, David Johnson Sr., from the class of 1986 has found himself homeless and stranded halfway between his former home and the place he's headed to start over. As many of you know, David is a Veteran. And now, after serving us he's homeless. He was on a bus from Colorado heading to find a new place in Alabama when he suffered another cardiac episode in San Antonio. After using up all his time in the hospital he was discharged with nowhere to go. His medical bills have wiped him out financially, which is going to make it tough to get back on his feet when he does get to where he's going. Would you be willing to help him out? I've spoken to David today and I'm struck by two things: his resiliency and just how quickly life can change for any of us. Let's make it change back to the good just as quickly and get this Dragon soaring again. Thanks in advance. -Scott
