Dave has been in the hospital since November 20th after undergoing a "Whipple Procedure" to remove a Neuroendocrine Tumor (5 in 100,000 people). What was supposed to be a recovery time of 5-7 days has turned into a hospital stay with what seems like a new set of complications every day. They have no real gauge on when he will be able to come home. Dave is currently battling 2 different infections and a fungus, he is attached to 4 different drains for fluid one being in his lung one in his chest and two in his side. What was meant to be a simple surgery with a quick recovery time has become a longer more complicated hospital stay for Dave. We all know how difficult this time of year can be especially with missing extended periods of time at work and expenses adding up with family making long trips to and from the hospital to visit. Dave has been an active member in the community willing to help anyone at a moment notice without question. Let’s give back to him and Denise and help lift a little of the financial burden anyone would have with an extended hospital stay.
