The fundraiser is being organised by a person in Edinburgh (UK), who is a family friend with Raghad, have known her and her family through a mutual friend since the start of the war and want to support them survive the brutal unliveable conditions and Hoping against hope for a ceasefire that is yet to come, with the tensions and bombings only rising. I’m creating this fundraiser to try and save some precious lives through your miraculous support and help Raghad and family survive the humanitarian disaster known to humans in this century. Collected funds are intended forst and foremost for providing daily support( i.e food clothing shelter) to the family and until they are able to evacuate safely when the time comes and they have funds to cross the border safely. Funds will be transferred to Raghad directly through viable means since regular banking services are in tatters.

This is a message from Raghad,

from the beginning of the war that is still ongoing and we are still continuing to suffer. I am Raghad Jamal Mohammed Al-Nahhal, 19 years old, a girl from occupied Gaza. I used to live in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, with my family including parents, 3 sisters and a minor child. We lived in peace, not permanent, but better than our situation now. But now we are homeless and have no place. Gaza's infrastructure has collapsed, and we had to flee our home and move into a tent to shelter me and my family from the deadly war. Our story is long, but in short, I aspired to graduate from my school and begin my university life, and to achieve my dream, and I promised myself that I would persevere, no matter the difficulties. Yes, I graduated from my school with an average of 80% in high school, thanks to my family, who gave me sufficient support to reach my goal. I decided to study multimedia engineering and artificial intelligence at the University of Palestine. It was the beginning of my dreams for my life and my future. I had confidence in myself, but when I started to achieve my dreams, the war came and destroyed my dreams. The occupation destroyed and demolished my university. Everything beautiful has been destroyed, the places that bring together our memories have been destroyed, but the memory remains with us. I now live in Khan Yunis in a tent with my family. I only hope that I can survive/travel to safety with my family and not lose any of them. If you donate to me, we hope to survive this annihilating conflict and live on with the help of kind people who still care,
Thank you, my friends.
