Helping Danny Fight Cancer Through Prayer, Hope, & Community

It takes a village—and now, our village is rallying around Danny and his family as they face the unimaginable.

On February 7th, 2024, Danny was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s T-Cell Lymphoma — a diagnosis that turned his world upside down just as he was beginning his senior year of high school. While most of his classmates were planning for prom, graduation, and life after high school, Danny was preparing for chemotherapy and the fight of his life. Since then, he has undergone countless treatments, including blood and platelet transfusions. This journey has taken a toll on him both physically and emotionally, filled with moments of strength and struggle. When Danny went into remission, we all breathed a sigh of relief, hoping the hardest part was behind him. But nearly a year later, our sweet Danny is once again facing a battle no one should ever have to endure.

In March 2025, we received the heartbreaking news that Danny’s cancer had returned. His most recent PET scan confirmed the presence of another mass, making this next chapter in his journey even more difficult.

Danny’s not just a fighter, he’s truly one of the kindest, most thoughtful kids you’ll ever meet. If you know him, you know exactly what we mean.

What’s Next in Danny’s Fight:

Danny is currently undergoing treatment with the hope of shrinking or completely eliminating the cancerous masses. If everything goes as we pray it will and he reaches remission again, the next step will be a bone marrow transplant. When the time comes, Danny will be transferred to City of Hope, where he’ll face long hospital stays, intensive treatments, and the need for constant care. More than ever, his family needs the ability to be by his side, fully present, without the added burden of financial stress.

We’re raising funds to help support Danny and his family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Contributions will go toward easing the many costs that come with a serious illness, from medical expenses and travel to other essentials that allow his parents to stay present and focused on Danny’s care. Our hope is to lift some of the financial weight off their shoulders, so they can focus fully on what matters most: being together and helping Danny heal.

El 7 de febrero de 2024, a Danny le diagnosticaron linfoma de células T tipo No Hodgkin, un diagnóstico que le cambió la vida por completo justo cuando comenzaba su último año de preparatoria. Mientras la mayoría de sus compañeros pensaban en el baile de graduación, la ceremonia y sus planes futuros, Danny se preparaba para la quimioterapia y la lucha de su vida. Desde entonces, ha pasado por numerosos tratamientos, incluyendo transfusiones de sangre y plaquetas. Este camino le ha afectado tanto física como emocionalmente, lleno de momentos de fortaleza y lucha. Cuando Danny entró en remisión, todos suspiramos aliviados, con la esperanza de que lo más difícil ya había pasado. Pero casi un año después, nuestro querido Danny se enfrenta nuevamente a una batalla que nadie debería tener que vivir.

En marzo de 2025, recibimos la desgarradora noticia de que el cáncer de Danny había regresado. Su tomografía PET más reciente confirmó la presencia de otra masa, lo que hace que esta nueva etapa de su lucha sea aún más difícil.

¿Qué sigue en la lucha de Danny?

Danny está recibiendo tratamiento con la esperanza de reducir o eliminar por completo las masas cancerosas. Si todo sale como oramos y él vuelve a entrar en remisión, el siguiente paso será un trasplante de médula ósea. Cuando llegue ese momento, Danny será trasladado a City of Hope, donde enfrentará largas estadías en el hospital, tratamientos intensivos y la necesidad de cuidados constantes. Más que nunca, su familia necesita estar a su lado, plenamente presente, sin la carga adicional del estrés financiero. Ese apoyo lo significa todo en este momento.

Estamos recaudando fondos para apoyar a Danny y a su familia mientras atraviesan este tiempo tan difícil.
