On Monday 11/17, my brother was in a serious motorbike accident resulting in a shattered femur bone. He underwent a six-hour surgery to stabilize the bone, and while we are incredibly grateful that he’s safe and recovering, the road ahead is going to be long and challenging.

My brother is young, active, and always on the move — the kind of person who’s hiking, playing rugby, scuba diving, working, or helping a friend any chance he gets. Seeing him suddenly unable to walk or take care of himself has been incredibly hard. He’ll likely be in inpatient physical therapy for a while, and even once he gets home, he won’t be able to live totally independently for some time.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress so he can focus completely on healing.

Donations will go toward:

• Grocery deliveries and prepared meals

• Home items that make getting around safer and easier

• Medical bills and ongoing treatment costs

• Any additional hospital or injury-related expenses
