Helping Dad's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
Final update: As many already know my dad lost his battle on Monday July 22, 2024. Just 10 days after his 64th birthday. The chemo took away his entire immune system so when he caught pneumonia he didn’t stand a chance. He was doing absolutely fantastic up until then and was such a trooper and inspiration. All of his Dr’s and nurses were so amazed by him and how incredibly well he was doing with his cancer treatment.
Luckily, dad had a small life insurance policy that will take care of his cremation. With that being said, mom is on her own now with one income. Any final donations to help her through this extremely difficult time will be very much appreciated and will help to keep her mind off of household bills while she needs to grieve his loss.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who has already donated, texted, called, messaged, and stopped by.

UPDATE: Dad has been in the hospital for 17 days. He is done with chemo for now, his immune system is gone, 3 blood transfusions so far, but still feeling great and optimistic! The hospital has a rooftop garden area that he walks in almost every morning and still keeping his nurses on their toes.

Thank you so much for everyone’s support! ❤️

Anyone who knows my parents know that they’re very hard working people and hardly ask for anything. They have both been self employeed ever since I can remember which makes this new chapter that much harder.

One phone call last Saturday changed my dads life. He has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (blood cancer) and is currently at the hospital receiving chemo therapy treatments. He is doing very well considering his circumstances. He has a very positive outlook, no current symptoms, and is keeping all the nurses on the floor entertained with his dad jokes. Despite feeling great, unfortunately, the hospital room will be his home for at least a month, possibly more depending on how his body responds to the treatment and how long it takes his immune system to build back up. Even after he is safe to go home, his oncologist is still unsure if or when he will be able to return to his job. For anyone who doesn’t know, he owns his own power washing company cleaning houses and decks which is obviously a very physically demanding job.

Both of them are proud people and have a hard time asking for help when it is needed, that’s why I am making this GoFundMe account. It will help out with monthly bills until he can hopefully get back on his feet.
Anything and everything is and will be greatly appreciated.
