My dad was recently diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, unfortunately these diagnoses have become an all-too-common reality for so many people.
They say that almost 50% of Canadians will get diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. I hope that with this information, we are able to prepare, to save, to adjust our lives if this devastating news comes in our direction.

My dad Terry however, was not able to adjust and save in time to receive this news. 
He has been off work for 3 months now, travelling back and forth to numerous doctors appointments, blood work testing and bone scans. He recently had a prostatectomy in Edmonton to try to eliminate the cancer from his body. Dad has not worked since September and could really use some help on the financial strain that has accompanied this very unfortunate event in his life.

I am very aware that there are hundreds of thousands of people in this world who are struggling along the same journey. I only ask that you donate if you can, even the smallest amount will help,
 
For those of  you who do not know him, please know that my dad is a very generous man who has always been there to help others and would go out of his way to assist a stranger on the street if they needed it, without asking for anything in return.
