Hello I'm setting up a GoFundMe account for a good friend of mine named Crystal, we are raising money to help her get few things that she needs like a hair wig, walker, and clothes for her daughter, a few other things that she may needs through her recovery. Here’s her backstory.. Crystal was diagnosed in 2012 with renal failure she managed to stay on stage 3 for five years. For anybody that doesn't know there's five stages 4,3,2,1 then it's time for dialysis. Due to the issues she was going through as a single-mom with no help going through more then what her body could handle all these health issues as well as her diabetes her body was slowly giving up from all the stress. Then came December 18 her whole life changed when her grandfather passed away who was not only a grandfather but father figure , he was her back bone he needed her as much as she needed him and together they helped each other but his time was up he end up passing away. During the time of his passing Crystal got a phone call with great news that she was receiving a kidney on January 11th that was a big day for her, she was excited but grieving at the same time. Four months into her kidney transplant she starting to have complications going in and out the hospital having One vascular surgery that fixed a collapse artery that was causing the kidney to fall asleep and not work , Ithere wasn’t proper blood flow. She over came that just Be hit with COVID On July 29th Crystal had been feeling real sick she didn’t understand what’s was going, she went to the doctors turns out she was tpositive for COVID . As fast as she went into the hospital was as fast as she started having breathing troubles that landed her on a Vanna later. throughout her time fighting Covid she flatlined five times , her doctor wasn’t about to give up But sadly she fall in to a coma she started to show signs of no life there was ups and downs getting ready to say our goodbye on two different occasions, her daughter not knowing if she would ever see her mother again kept her faith . She prayed along with a lot of us she pleaded with God and her mother which eventually helped her mother. Hearing her sweet little voice in Crystal’s ear gave her the power to fight . Crystal came out of the coma not knowing what was going on, scared with lots of mixed emotions. It’s been far from easy but yet giving up ain’t an optionshe’s fighting 10 times harder., Learning how to walk again having issues with her vocal cords & so much more. 2 months in the hospital alone , three different surgeries losing her kidney transplant. A heart surgery to make sure she has no blockage, that surgery only revealed that her heart was stronger than ever. Praise God! Still she needed a surgery to put a ICD in her chest so that if the rhythm of her heart changes or she has another episode of flatline that would work to save her life. COVID 19 took over her body but the fighter that she is it couldn’t fully destroy her. Crystal's a fighter she fought her hardest & continues to fight every day. We all have been praying and hope we can continue to pray during her long recovery, we never gave up so I’m asking you if you could donate or share even if it's a dollar or fifty cents anything would do to get what Is needed for her & her daughter during this difficult time in her life. As Crystal was being cared for At Garfield Medical Center in the Covid unit her CNA Attempted to help her calm tangles out of my hair carelessly she Breast pulling comps of hair, the nurse left Crystal with a bald spot so bad that she has to save her head ,Crystal has a long road ahead of her a lot of Physical therapy , Same speech therapy & just learning how to cope with this new life just so much going on with her.
So if you can help with an open heart we would really appreciate it. We’re trying to take some stress off of her so she could focus on getting better. Thank you for taking time to read this & Thank you in Advance. God bless you all.
