Helping Corey Santos get Femoral Bypass Surgery

Hello, my name is Ladera Linn, I am writing on behalf of our dear friend Corey Santos.

I've known Corey since we were kids, and throughout all these years he’s been deeply connected to the ocean and drawn to the excitement it offers. Many of you may recognize him for his photography, his passion for surfing, his involvement in the arts, his dedicated work with several local non-profits, or his tireless advocacy for our island, our people, and our planet.

Recently, Corey received a life-altering diagnosis of an unidentified arterial disease, necessitating a femoral artery bypass. This is a major medical procedure that, at 27 years old, Corey couldn't have anticipated or financially planned for. The expenses to travel from Guam to a medical specialist in California, a month-long stay, and the subsequent costs during his recovery, all while being unable to work, have placed a tremendous burden on him.

Corey is a self-reliant individual and is not one to ask for help, which is why it took a considerable effort from his other half Nicole, and me to convince him to allow us to initiate this fundraiser on his behalf. If you are in a position to contribute financially, it would mean the world to us, and more importantly, to Corey. Your support will go a long way in helping us get Core the medical care he urgently needs so that he can return to the water, where he belongs.
