Hey everyone,
I never thought I'd find myself in this position, but here I am, reaching out for help after a string of car accidents that have left me in a tough spot. My name is Cohen, and I'm an 18-year-old full-time college student who moved away from home in September to pursue my dreams.
Back in September, I was involved in a car accident caused by another driver who had no insurance. I had to scrape together everything I had, including using my own student loans, to repair my vehicle. It was a tough blow, but I managed to fix it and move on. Little did I know, more challenges were on the horizon.
Since then, I've been in three car accidents, each one caused by other drivers. The latest one, a hit-and-run, has left me with a fractured C3 vertebrae, severe whiplash, a concussion, and a sprained wrist. The airbag deployed upon impact, causing me to lose consciousness. I awoke to the sound of a 911 dispatcher on the other end of the line, sending paramedics, firefighters, and police rushing to the scene. It was then that I looked up and realized the driver who had hit me had taken off, leaving me alone and injured.
I'm exhausted from dealing with police, lawyers, and insurance companies, and now my car, my lifeline, is a total loss. Without a suspect, I have no coverage for this accident.
My car wasn't just a means of transportation; it was my ticket to freedom. It got me to school, allowed me to visit my family hours away, and took me to physio appointments after the previous accidents. Now, all of that is gone, and I'm feeling lost.
I want nothing more than to throw in the towel and go back home, but I came here for a reason. I have goals, dreams, and aspirations that I refuse to give up on. But I can't do it alone.
If you can spare anything to help me get back on my feet and work towards purchasing a new vehicle, I would be forever grateful. Every little bit helps, and your support means more to me than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me during this incredibly challenging time.
-Cohen,
