Final Expenses for Clyde and Carol
Donation protected
Many of you know my father-in-law Clyde Richards and my mother-in-law, Carol. They are a well-known part of the Burnham area community and are friends and family to many. As many of you now know, Clyde recently began a courageous battle with adrenal cancer after suddenly becoming very ill. As we were preparing him and our family for a consultation in Boston, Clyde took a turn for the worse and was hospitalized several times over the past month. We then received the devastating news that the cancer had already spread to his liver and his right lung. With this diagnosis came the heartbreaking news that there is nothing that can be done to treat his cancer or prolong his life. He was given only a few months to live and all upcoming oncology appointments were canceled and Clyde was sent home with Hospice care to be with his family for the short time that he has left.
As you can imagine, we believed that we had time to plan, time to make arrangements, and pay for them if Clyde could not be cured. We expected to have at least a year to make these decisions, if not more; and until a few days ago, we still believed that he might win the fight. Unfortunately, he does not have a life insurance policy and was living on a modest, fixed income. The cost of final arrangements is far too much for Carol to bear.
Please donate if you can to help Carol and Clyde at this very difficult time. Any amount will help.
